November 2014

November 1-
^What?! Kai lost his first tooth! When Sarah told me his tooth was ready to fall out, I didn't believe her. How did it slide past me that it was even loose?! True dat! Ed helped pull it out the same day we found out about it. You're a champ Kai! Let the money makin' begin!
^We went on a triple date to Hu Hot with friends. I like to remember my food when it's good. Mongolian BBQ. Yum! Next time I'll get pictures of the friends too. :)

 November 4-
^Madison was acting off all morning. I'm not always good at realizing when she isn't feeling well. When she fell asleep during my exercise class I knew something wasn't right. By afternoon, she lost her breakfast. :( All over the tile during lunch. Gross, but easy clean up at least. :)  Then she took a long nap and was normal the rest of the day. Short lived bug. And a show with Kai later. Cuties.

November 5-
^Another food pic. :) Stuffed green peppers (from the garden) are yum.

November 7-
^It was time for more homemade granola. Best aroma.
^I'm not always great at playing with the kids, but when I do, I never regret it. It feels good to succeed at your job sometimes. Such cuteness.
^Ed and I were put in charge of games after a neighborhood chili cook off. So fun to see adults play kid games. :) Balloon stop, and other various challenges including cup stacking, thumb wars, high jump, coin spinning, bubble blowing and of course...
^...crab walk. :) I think we all laughed and had fun.

November 9-
^Chillin' after church. These two are pretty great friends. :)

 November 14-
^The Yeates joined us for Ed's b-day surprise. Couldn't pass up the fun! We went to Provo Beach to do the flow rider. There was definitely a learning curve. ;) Plenty of good wipe outs!

^After surfing we went back to our Orem hotel (we know how to party!;)) and got ready and met back up with the Yeates for dinner.  Food was great, service was slow- thank goodness for great company! :) Then we got delicious fried ice cream at a hole in the wall.

 November 15- Ed's 39th Bday! One away!!
^We ditched our hotel breakfast and tried out Waffle Love. Dessert for breakfast is totally acceptable on your birthday! It was delicious. I suggest sharing.
The rest of the day was pretty chill. Then we met up with the Ryans for dinner at our "special occasion" favorite, Flemmings. Steak is where it's at! Happy Birthday Ed! The old jokes begin in a year! I love you!

November 21-
^Love it when CA clients/friends visit UT. A hair appointment gives great time for catch up! :) Makes me happy!
^A night out with our neighborhood to dinner and Hunger Games. So fun! I always mean to get a picture of the group. Missed it this time so...A pic for friends that share their clothes with me... :) Best thing ever!

November 22-
^We were planning to go outdoor climbing on Ed's birthday, but weather and a sore knee from surfing crashes prevented it. :) So we went indoor a week later with the Spens'. I love doing active things with friends. We had a great time! We all had shaky arms by the end.
^Sarah is signed up for Jr. Jazz her first year! So we got tickets to a game and took her on a special date. She loved it of course, and we did too. One on one time with our kids is going to be more frequent...

November 25-
^Kai's preschool Thanksgiving feast. :)

November 26-
^My cute friend Courtney from CA also came into town and therefore we had a hair date. Lookin' good girl!

 November 27- Thanksgiving
^We ended up cooking one of the 2 birds for the family. Brined bird is delicious!
^I finally ventured away from Rhodes rolls and made my own! It was really fun and easy actually. I tried multiple ways to shape them, and they turned out delicious! Thanks for my friend Corinne for showing me the ropes! Cooking/baking with friends is always more fun!
^Dad hosted and everything looked (and tasted) great!
^Love my fam!
^Lish and I braved some shopping afterwards. Besides our 1.5 hr wait at H&M, it was great! Home by 2am. Nuts!

 November 28-
^These get-togethers don't happen often enough anymore. Both Kaylynn and Julia were in town for Thanksgiving and I was lucky to see them for a dinner date. Always a pleasure. :)

 November 29-
^My brother Landon had a baby last Christmas in an alarming, emergent way. They spent over a week at Primary Childrens with baby Chase, and wanted to give back. Debbie set up a service opportunity to make dinner at the Ronald McDonald house. It was a great experience. We brought all of our ingredients up and served the families chicken pot pie, salad, and triffle. We got good feedback and happy feelings. We think we'll make it a tradition. :)
^Love my family! And so happy little Chase is okay. Thank you modern medicine and staff! He's such a cutie!

 November 30-
^Ryan's, Yeates's and Davis's
^The weather has been pretty warm. We decided to hit up the lights early in the season. Small crowds and beautiful lights and friends.
^Great reminder of family. Beautiful way to display. Great way to end out November.

We're on top of the world!

^Happy helper, Ed, helped me with my dinner group. Good man! :)

October 7-
Fall season T-ball for Kai.

October 8-
^I got up with Sarah in the early AM to see the blood red moon. Then later morning I went to my first bikram yoga class with my friend Lisa. 104 degrees of hot and sweaty like you wouldn't believe! Fun to switch it up and try new exercises.

October 9-
^Kai loves karate! I think he is great at it. Perfect sport for him.

^Harvesting food from your own yard just feels good! Such a rewarding feeling.

^An app for a fun neighborhood night with dinner and a movie. :)

^While we went out with neighbors, the kids went to Landon and Debbie's for a late night.
^They even got to dress up and do some fun activities. Thanks you guys!

October 19-
^Something dropped from high in the fridge. ALL OVER! :(

^We were with the Johnson's again, so we decided for a take 2 of family pics.
^Camera timed on a tripod did okay. ;)

October 22-
^Another Nimbus kill. :( Gross! Last harvest from my garden. Colorful dinner. And a run with Andrea.

October 23-
^Finished out my 21 day trial of bikram with my long time CA friend, Eve. :)

October 24-
^Virtual 5k run for Miss Leah Layton of Iowa. Rett Syndrome awareness and fundraiser. Her parents are some of our bests! Then I scootered with Sarah to school one last time until the temps get frigid.
^Pumpkin Patch picking. If there are tractors, we will sit on them.
^And trucks.
^And tractor tires. Great photo ops.
^And corn mazes to run through.
^And of course pumpkin picks.
^ In the evening we went to a pumpkin carving party.
^The kid's pumpkins. Kai won scariest, and Sarah, best kids carving. :) Awesome!

October 25-
^ Ed had to work for the Primary Childrens Hospital, Open to the Public Day. So we went. :) The kids got to try out all sorts of things.
^And more importantly got to see daddy and see what he does every day. Cardiac Perfusion and his bypass pump full of punch, not blood. :)
^They got to use all sorts of surgery tools.
^Fun family activity. Ed has always looked good in his hospital get up. He also worked here when I met him.
^After Stake Conference, we went with friends to Leatherby's Creamery. We have been getting "Doug's Banana Split" for years! So when DOUG was our server, I snatched a picture with the namesake. Ha!

October 28-
^Before and after pictures of our house with new, dark accent colors. Ed changed the tan accents to dark brown and we love it! The front window didn't have shutters, so Ed built some! He's handy like that! :) Then he painted the doors brown. We love the new look!
^Shandra had a baby boy we needed to meet, so we brought her dinner and visited for hours. Long overdue! Fun girls!

October 30-

^Kai's school party. Cute painted pumpkins.
