Various Halloween Festivities

For mother's group we got together with all the kids dressed up and did some trick or treating, ate wonderful chili that Kristen made, and danced to spooky halloween music. Sarah loves suckers! See Maren's blog for more pics.
These pics were at our ward Halloween party.

^Cheesy I know...I was a cheerleader. Free costume!
On Halloween night Ed and I were invited to a Mystery dinner that was kind of like clue. The theme was 1920's so I was a flapper girl jazz singer and Ed was a gangster. It was a lot of fun to dress up and get together with friends. Thanks Ryan for watching Sarah!

Pics, Poo and Zoo Time!

WARNING:  There may be an overload of pictures in this post, but they sure are dang cute!! Even if we're the only ones oogling over them!

On Sunday Ed and I headed up to Sawyer Camp trail for a sundown walk and decided to get some pictures. The lighting was awesome and they turned out great. We got a lot of cute pics that capture Sarah's personality.
^Our favorite!

Cute as a bug!

^How many more pictures are you going to take!!
^Honestly, are you serious?

Now about the poop...Before Sarah's nap I changed her poopy diaper and didn't put her jeans back on as I thought they would be very uncomfortable to sleep in. I've done this before and thought nothing of it. I should have.  I did a haircut while Sarah was supposed to be napping and to my frustration finished the haircut only to find her still crying in her crib. When I opened the door this is what I found...
These pics are obviously with Sarah removed since she had poo all over body, hair and mouth. It also may not look as bad as it was.
There was poo everywhere! On all the slats, blankets, sheets, stuffed animals, ME, and yes that's her diaper and poop on the floor.  I omitted the bath pics, but it was a poo bath. Best word to describe the situation...shit! Sorry! :)

And then we have to zoo. We had such a fun and eventful month! Ed had a day off so we took Sarah to the zoo. She wasn't interested in the animals much, but it was fun nonetheless.

It ended up being a pretty cold day. The meercats were spooning to stay warm. Cute!

^Such a cute picture of Sarah and her daddy!

Julia & Pumpkin Festival 10/15-10/20

Julia came in town for a fun filled weekend. :) She took lots of family pics, including ours (pictured later) and got a lot of girly time.
Ed and I also went to the Pumpkin Festival in Half Moon Bay and had a great time!! Pushing a stroller took a little more maneuvering with so many people, but it was worth it. We liked looking at the picture/craft booths and the food was good. Since we ended up getting there later than the group we were going with,  we stopped and a pumpkin patch and got some great pictures of Sarah. Ed is starting to love photography and photo editing. He does an awesome job! More on Ed's flickr page.

The props were perfect!
What a punkin!!

Bizz Johnson Half Marathon 10-11-08

This was one cold, but awesome race.  It was in Susanville, CA (between 5-6 hours away) where Rebecca's parents are living. It was a beautiful trail run, with tunnels and beautiful scenery! Rebecca, Kaylynn, Brook, Molly, Whitney and I ran it. When we started it was a freezing 26 degrees with snow on the ground. It took a mile or two for our toes and noses to thaw out, but the trail was pretty down hill and we finished all within 8 minutes of each other. We were also able to celebrate Molly and Joel's (Whitney's boy) birthday. Here are some pics from the lovely event:

We left Ed and Sarah behind this time. I left Friday and came back Saturday after the race. Ed did wonderful with Sarah, and they got me some beautiful roses for a congrats on finishing the race. Thanks my loves!
