Are you ever driving and almost home and then a song comes on the radio that you really like? Enough that you stay in the car parked after you get home to finish the song? It happens to me sometimes, usually with songs that are older that I haven't heard for a while. Today after running this happened to me. The song? "You are not alone" by Michael Jackson. That's right. :) I remembered how much I really like Michael Jackson and I think he's a really talented singer. Who else gets away with the hiccup type sound throughout their songs? You know what I'm talking about. Simon Cowell would rip that a part on American Idol if someone tried that today. :) I'd be interested to hear what songs you've done this for. If you remember.
P.S. This picture is when he looked good.

Dashboard Confessional for sure!! I would stop for him anytime. :)
I actually did the same exact thing the other day for Coldplay.......I just love the way I feel when I hear them!!
Ooh. That's a good question. Really depends on the day. Sometimes Beatles songs, sometimes Snow Patrol, sometimes Rilo Kiley. It's always different. But yes, I do that a lot!
Ha! I do that ALL the time! But for me its all about the late 80's - early 90's.
And I LOL'd at the thought of MJ's hiccups! You're SO right when it comes to Simon...
I know exactly what you mean! Most of the time I have some type of memory attached to as well. When I was five I met Michael Jackson (while he was filming a Pepsi commercial). They would only let kids get a picture with him in his trailer (hmm) so my mom sent me off. I don’t look too happy in the picture (I was disappointed because they told me his monkey would be in there with him and it wasn’t).
I love Michael Jackson! We used to make up dances to "Beat It" and it was a record player! How funny!!! I'm glad I found your blog!
I was a Michael Jackson fan, too! All of his old songs, I'm sure I still remember every word! That's so funny. I have to agree with your friend above and say that I'll stay in the car for Coldplay, anytime!
