13 months came and went...

In Sarah's 13th month a lot has changed! I think her first birthday was the last time I updated about her. Here's what's new:
Word Wise: That little cute voice of hers is starting to come though. Sometimes clearer than others her word list consists of: Daddy, Mommy, "hi" (to everyone she sees and while holding the phone to her ear), book, ball, boat, bear, kitty, doggy, "ooww" (for meow), uh oh, "nana" (for banana), the dreaded "no", E I E I O, "ba ba" for bottle, "dow" for down, "blanky" for blanket, "pa" for grandpa, and "Sarah". She also puts together "hi daddy/kitty" every once in a while. She will repeat other words we say, but doesn't know the connection yet. She makes the sounds for cat and snake. :)
Moving Wise: She is a pro going up and down stairs, she made the advancements from standing on her own- to taking a few steps-and full blown walking at about 13 1/2 months!! Yay Sarah!
Sleeping and eating wise: She is switching  between 1 and 2 naps (one at 9:30, one at 2ish for about 1+ hrs), we're done nursing since 13.5 months so she drinks three 8 oz bottles a day and eats all the same foods we eat. She likes most things, no longer likes cheese (just like daddy), likes bananas less and gets picky with some veggies. Her favorites are strawberries, yogurt, crackers, bread and the limited amount of apple juice she gets. She signs "eat and more" which is very helpful. And she has a new bottom tooth which makes 7. :)
Growing wise: I'll have to check. I'm not sure how much she weighs or how tall she is, but she's growing like a weed. So is her hair. It's beautiful golden blonde and pretty curly in the back. SO cute! Sarah loves the game peek-a-boo, loves waving, and loves clapping (especially for herself if she puts her cup in its holder, or solves a toy game). She loves to pick up balls and try to throw or kick them.
Song wise: Sarah loves when we sing songs she can do actions to. She does "If you happy and you know it..." to clapping, blowing kisses and shouting hooray, twinkle twinkle little star, pat-a-cake, popcorn popping, little house in the middle of the woods, and  the wheels on the bus. She loves any books, her stuffed animals, her sleeping blanket, her baby and stroller, and splashing at bath time.

We are really enjoying Sarah at this stage! Even though she throws an occasional tantrum...this girl is ADORABLE!! We're quite fond of her.

Happy Wednesday and Bunko!

The result of our dead camera (4.0 mega pixels) resulted in a Happy Wednesday gift from Ed the week we got back from SLC. SO small. So great! So well taken care of. Thanks babe!!

I also go to Bunko night once a month on Wednesday. Since most of the pictures I post are of me/we looking decent. I decided it was time to switch things up. It gets annoying to see pretty pictures of people all the time don't you think? Meet my Bunko group! :) (Not all pictured)

Salt Lake on a whim

I am very behind once again, but I wanted to post a couple pics from Salt Lake a few weeks ago. We up and decided to go to SLC for Conference weekend. This is what the trip ended up like.

We'll start with the CONS:
-Too much stuff! Airport difficulty and layover flights. Never again!
-Didn't end up getting tickets to go to Conference.
-Ed was sick pretty much the whole time
-My visit to the temple with friends and family ended when my temple recommend was expired. :(
-I went to lunch with my girlfriends- which won't be pictured since my camera malfunctioned and erased all my pics. :(

PROS:
-Lots of family time
-Bowling
-We were able to go to Josh's B-day party #2!! (For Harman Fam pics)
-Sarah started WALKING!!! (hopefully video post soon...ED)

While the Cons outweighed to Pros this time. We're still happy we were able to see family. :)

Daddy-Daughter Weekend

While Lindsey was off running a 1/2 marathon in Susanville with friends, Sarah got to stay home and enjoy the weekend with her Daddy. Here are some pics from roaming around the Stanford campus on Saturday. Bytheway, great job on your run Linz.

Motivation

I just wanted to say that company and going on vacation are great since sometimes they are my only motivation to clean my house. :) It sounds silly but before I leave on a trip I like everything to be cleaned, vacuumed, garbage out, and laundry done so when I get home it's clean...only to be messed up again by unpacking?! :) Oh well. It's the same with having visitors, hosting get-togethers, and I guess the fact that my kitchen is my salon. Another reason why things have to be picked up constantly. :)
Since a good majority of you haven't been here to visit and may never come, I thought I'd post a couple pics to get you a little acquainted with our town house.

Counting Crows/ Maroon 5/ Augustana Concert

Ed and Brian put together a little date night to go to the Counting Crows concert. It was chilly, but concerts are so fun! We really need to go more often. Thanks Drummonds and thanks Kaylynn for watching Sarah. :)

Lake Tahoe Conference

Ed was given the opportunity to speak at a perfusion conference up in Lake Tahoe. Sarah and I just hung out while Ed was at the conference. Although it ended being a little boring for Sarah and I, Ed did a great job with his speech and got some good time mingling with work peeps. I think Ed is awesome at public speaking! Great job babe!! You make us proud!
^A picture of our family at the conference dinner. Sarah was a hit as the only baby there. :)

More attempts

My scones and chocolate dipped strawberries turned out wonderful. :) They may not be hard to make for some, but it was my first time making scone dough from scratch and deep frying anything. Makes me feel somewhat domestic. :)
